LIVE FUTURES REPORT 01/04: LME nickel up to $16,200; aluminium, zinc down 2% over week

Aluminium's and nickel's prices bounced back slightly at the close of trading on the London Metal Exchange on Thursday April 1 from Wednesday's figures, but aluminium and zinc showed losses over the week of nearly 2%, while other base metals continued to consolidate.

Nickel's three-month price showed the biggest increase in the base-metals complex on Thursday, up by 0.9% to $16,214 per tonne, back to the level seen at the start of the week. It had closed at $16,216 per tonne on Monday.The stainless steel additive dropped by 1.65% to $15,948 per tonne on Tuesday, its lowest closing price in March, but has rebounded since.Aluminium's price was up to $2,225.50 per tonne from Wednesday's reading of $2,212 per tonne, which had been down by 0.85% from Tuesday's closing price.Thursday's slight increase...
