LIVE FUTURES REPORT 06/11: SHFE base metals mixed in morning trading

Base metals prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange were mixed during Asian morning trading on Tuesday November 6, with those of aluminium, nickel and zinc benefiting from President Xi's announcement of plans to add new free trade zones in Shanghai.

President Xi said in an opening speech at the Shanghai Import and Export Expo on November 6 that China will keep expanding its importing business and reduce investment restrictions in the coming days, which lifted investors' confidence in the country. Aluminium rose after its dull performance in previous days, supported by the positive market sentiment.
