LIVE FUTURES REPORT 07/12: LME lead up by 2.4%; complex mixed

Lead and zinc prices posted the biggest gains by the 5pm close on the London Metal Exchange on Monday December 7, with the rest of the complex remaining largely flat but at high levels.

Lead's three-month price closed at $2,076 per tonne, a 2.4% increase on Friday's closing price of $2,027.50 per tonne.
Its sister metal, zinc, also experienced a rise of 1% to close the day's trading at $2,786.50 per tonne, compared with $2,757 per tonne at Friday's close.
Three-month zinc hit an intraday high of $2,805 per tonne on Monday, coming close to its 2020 high of $2,844 per tonne seen on November 20.
