LIVE FUTURES REPORT 10/09: Comex copper opens week on solid footing

Comex copper prices ticked higher in the morning on Monday September 10 with a weaker dollar and positive Chines data lifting the base metals complex.

Copper prices for December settlement on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange gained 0.85 cents or 0.3% to $2.6310 per lb."Given the negative macroeconomic backdrop and relatively weak technical configuration, it is difficult to be overly confident that the LME copper price is ready for a major turnaround in the very short term," Metal Bulletin analyst Andy Farida said."It will take...
