(IDEX Online) - A Bulgari sapphire and diamond brooch that belonged to Hollywood icon Liz Taylor is being sold.The British-born actress, best known for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Cleopatra and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, died in 2011, having amassed a huge collection of jewelry from her eight husbands.The majority of her collection sold at Christie's shortly after her death, netting over $137m.Now her platinum and gold multicolored brooch is being offered for sale by M. S. Rau, fine art, antique and jewelry specialists in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.It has 17.50 carats of blue and pink sapphires and 5.25 carats of diamonds. The price has not been disclosed, although it was reportedly sold for $68,500 in 2011.
