MB APEX Q4 2017: Overall base, precious metal accuracy at over 99%

Metal Bulletin Research topped the base metals leaderboard in the Apex fourth-quarter 2017 contest, with an accuracy rating of 99.35%.

Bunk Muscat's Ajit S Mauskar was second in the base metals table with an accuracy rating of 98.88%, Casper Burgering of ABN Amro was third with 98.66%. SP Angel's John Meyer and Sergey Raevskiy were fourth with 98.61% and Robin Bar from Societe Generale was fifth with 97.90%.

In the precious metals category, Investec was the overall winner for the last quarter of 2017, with an accuracy rating of 99.11%. 

S Gambarini and C Bain of Capital Economics came second with 98.12% and SP Angel were third with 98.03%. Deutsche Bank took fourth place with 97.24% and Bernard Dahsah from Natixis was fifth with an accuracy rating of 97.22%.

Individual base metals winners
The winner of the fourth-quarter Metal Bulletin Apex contest for aluminium was Daniel Morgan of USB with an accuracy rating of 99.65%.

SP Angel's John Meyer and Sergey Raeveskiy were in first place for copper price predictions with an accuracy rating of 99.90%.

Metal Bulletin Research won the Apex lead award for the fourth quarter with a 99.93% accuracy rating, as well as topping the tin leader board with an accuracy rating of 99.44%.

Casper Burgering from ABN Amro topped the table in the nickel category with an accuracy rating of 98.87%.

Nicholas Snowdown of Standard Chartered was top of the zinc leader board for the fourth-quarter with 99.56% accuracy.

The winner for gold predictions in the fourth quarter was Ajit S Mauskar of Bank Muscat with 99.90% accuracy, while S Gambarini and C Bain of Capital Economics came first for silver predictions with 99.84% accuracy.

Investec were top of the palladium table with a 99.86% accuracy as well as first for the platinum price prediction with 99.91%.

Raw materials winners
Bart Melek of TD Securities was awarded first place in the iron ore leader board for the fourth quarter with 99.24% accuracy.

Finally, Investec came first for coking coal predictions this quarter with 95.82% accuracy.
