Mexico's Ahmsa looking for partnership options

Mexico's largest integrated steelmaker, Altos Hornos de M?(C)xico (Ahmsa), has been considering capitalization options, including the sale of its ownership stake or building a partnership with another company.

"Regarding information published today about an alleged process of sale of the company, Ahmsa affirms it has been working with several options for capitalization or partnership with many industrial and financial groups, but no deal has been closed up to this moment," Ahmsa said late on Monday September 23 in a report to the country's stock exchange, BMV.A report in Mexican business newspaper El Financiero, published on Monday, said that the company has been negotiating the sale of its assets to Italian steel...
