MICROMINE is pleased to announce the release of Micromine 2018 Service Pack 2, also known as Micromine 2018 SP2.
Service Pack 2 addresses a small number of bugs and fixes as well as a number of new features and enhancements. Micromine 2018 SP2 has been developed with the aim to enhance flexibility and functionality, improving the overall user experience.
An exciting new feature for the Micromine 2018 SP2 release is an updated and enhanced version of the Micromine Network Licensing Server.
Prior to the SP2 release, Micromine licences were enabled by a physical dongle - a hardware device plugged into the computer running Micromine, or on to a server on the client's network. The Micromine 2018 SP2 release introduces the Node-lock licence - a method of licensing Micromine without the need for a physical dongle.
Node-lock licences provide the convenience of not requiring a physical dongle and allows a licence to be transferred between computers at different geographical locations.
MICROMINE Chief Commercial Officer Vicky Bevilaqua commented on the new functionality "this is an exciting new commercial offering for the Micromine solution and one that will increase utilisation and allow quick and easy access to the software"
It is recommended all network users install the latest version.
In addition, Micromine 2018 Service Pack 2 addresses the below bugs and enhancements:
