The mining sector needs to innovate and differentiate themselves, the way Uber disrupted the taxi industry, said Stephen de Jong, CEO and co-founder of VRify.
"We need something like what Uber did to the taxi industry. Uber didn't just come along and find an extra few million drivers so we have more options, every single person that uses Uber has a rating system to hold the driver accountable to the service they give, and if the driver has a higher rating, they get more rides and preferential treatment," de Jong told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Mines & Money conference in Toronto.
