MMG delays Las Bambas copper concs delivery on road block; no estimate on shipment resumption

MMG has delayed shipments of its copper concentrates output from Las Bambas copper mine in Peru due to a road blockade initiated by the local community, the Australian-Chinese miner said on Monday February 25.

Las Bambas copper mine is one of the world's largest copper mines and produced 385,299 tonnes of copper in copper concentrates in 2018. Outbound transport from Las Bambas mine has been disrupted by a blockade of the public national road in the district of Colquemarca, Cusco Region, according to a regulatory filing to the Hong Kong Exchange.
