New Gold (CN:NGD) has signed on Gekko Systems in its bid to get higher copper recoveries out of the New Afton mine in British Columbia, Canada.

The Canadian miner has guided production of 6-16% less copper at New Afton in 2018, year-on-year (from 41,276 tonnes), saying the improvement in recoveries would only "partially offset" lower throughput.
