Nucor Corp plans to spend roughly $2.7 billion to build a 3-million-ton "lower-carbon" sheet mill to serve customers in the Midwest and Northeast markets, particularly in the automotive sector, the steelmaker announced on Monday September 20.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company is evaluating locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
