OM Holdings suspends ops at Sarawak ferro-alloys plant due to Covid-19 outbreak

OM Holdings (OMH) has suspended operations at its ferro-alloys plant at Sarawak in Malaysia due to an outbreak of the Covid-19 virus among workers, the Singapore-based mining and trading company said.

Affected premises have been instructed to stop operations temporarily until all employees test negative.
OMH has put the Sarawak plant under care and maintenance until further notice and warned that shipments of its existing stocks could also be subject to delays, Marawak said in a statement on Friday May 28.

"Action plans for the recovery and immediate recommencement of production activities are being prepared to ensure a smooth resumption...
