Ontario's government is working for the people by supporting small business growth in Mine Centre, creating two seasonal jobs.

Today, Greg Rickford, Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines, announced Hyatt's Manion Lake Camp - a hunting and fishing outfitter - is receiving $56,187 to expand its operations by building a new outpost cabin and installing solar panels to save on energy costs.

"Our government is protecting what matters most by investing in opportunities that enhance the competitiveness of northern businesses," said Minister Rickford. "By helping businesses like Hyatt's Manion Lake Camp expand and create jobs, we are sending a strong signal that Northern Ontario is open for business and open for jobs."

The camp is located about 110 kilometres northeast of Fort Frances. It has six housekeeping cabins on the main camp at Manion Lake and six housekeeping cabins at outposts at Pettit Lake, Mount Lake and Sandbeach Lake, offering guests fishing and hunting experiences.
