RAPAPORT... Pandora has hired two new marketing executives to head the global business units that it established recently as part of its strategic reorganization.Frederique Gouzard will lead the "moments" global unit, which includes charms and collaborations, the Danish jeweler said Monday. She was previously a global brand marketing director for De Beers Diamond Jewellers (now De Beers Jewellers), and has also worked for Johnson & Johnson and Colgate-Palmolive. Raul Duque Ruiz will run the "style" unit, which incorporates new collections and innovations. A former global associate brand director at Procter & Gamble, Ruiz has also worked for Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. The new positions, which Pandora announced last month as part of its restructuring, were created to help the company more quickly address its customers' needs. The reorganization will see the company close regional offices and group its markets into 10 clusters, overseen by Martino Pessina, the jeweler's new chief commercial officer.Gouzard and Ruiz will be responsible for areas including design, crafting, marketing and sales. Both will join Pandora on May 4, and will report to the company's chief marketing officer, Carla Liuni, who started last month."Our new joiners are talented global marketeers and we are confident their valuable insights and experience will be a huge asset in setting this new direction," Liuni said.Additionally, Pandora has promoted Susanne Jul Jakobsen to vice president, global business unit, end-to-end process. Jakobsen, who has been at Pandora for nearly nine years, was most recently vice president of group product management. Image: Frederique Gouzard (right) and Raul Duque Ruiz (left). (Pandora)
