Pandora Takes Top Spot for Responsible Sourcing

RAPAPORT... Pandora topped an annual rating comparing responsiblesourcing by the 10 largest companies in the fashion industry. For the second year running, the jeweler ranked ahead ofluxury vendors, including Kering, Richemont, LVMH and Swatch Group on MorganStanley's yearly Environmental, Social and Governmental (ESG) report. The investment bank graded Pandora highly for itsresponsible purchasing of gold and silver, as well as its labor conditions. "We are dedicated to making our jewelry as sustainable aspossible, while also making sure that our employees all over the world enjoygood working conditions," Trine Pondal, Pandora's head of sustainability, saidTuesday. "We believe that our initiatives in this area not only benefit Pandora,but also our suppliers and the rest of the jewelry industry." The report also graded the companies for their carbonfootprints, chemical safety and corporate governance.
