Pandora to Focus on E-Commerce

RAPAPORT... Pandora has hired Karl Walsh as its senior vice president ofglobal e-commerce in an effort to improve online sales and customer experience. Walsh (pictured), who has previously worked atAccenture and McKinsey, will be responsible for leading the newly formede-commerce department, part of a strategy to boost the brand's omni-channelpresence. He will report to CEO Anders Colding-Friis. "The new [division] should make it possible to strengthencooperation with Pandora's 100 markets, and ensure rapid progress in thee-commerce field," the company said Wednesday. Pandora's sales did not meet the company's targets in 2017, while profit dropped 4%. Additionally,traffic at brick-and-mortar stores in the US and Asia Pacific -Pandora's largest markets - has slowed.
