Peninsula Mines Ltd. (ASX:PSM) managing director Jon Dugdale speaks to Proactive Investors about the company's operations in South Korea spanning base metals, battery metals, and now potentially value-added spherical graphite processing.

Drilling into zinc and lead targets is underway with the potential for a discovery at any time, as drilling on key graphite prospects is set to begin in efforts to prove a resource. In parallel, Peninsula is pursuing a graphite metallurgical program whilst seeking agreements with potential offtake partners, to feed the country's lithium ion battery production.

Dugdale speaks favourably about the operating environment in South Korea in general. Regarding the company's latest initiative to integrate downstream value-added processing, he notes, "we're already in discussions with government around funding the early stages of the exploration and the government is also introducing us to some of these offtake partners, and they may get involved in funding as well."
