POLAND REBAR: Domestic prices drop on weak demand, oversupply

The price of steel rebar in the Polish domestic market dropped this week on limited demand, with buyers hoping for further decreases amid a slowdown in construction and oversupply in the market, sources said.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, ex-works Poland, was 1,900-1,930 zloty ($493-501) per tonne on Friday March 6, down by 150-220 zloty per tonne week on week from 2,050-2,150 zloty per tonne.
This week's assessment includes deals and offers heard in the market at 1,930-1,950 zloty per tonne delivered, with adjustments made based on average delivery costs of 20-30 zloty per tonne.
