Demand for steel rebar in Poland continued to be good in the week to Friday July 31, supporting the low end of the range, although the high end slipped sources told Fastmarkets
Poland's rebar market was still active in the last week of July, supported by vigorous demand from the construction industry.
The country's major rebar producers
announced higher prices last week, and managed to fix an increase in deals compared with levels in mid-July, sources said.
In the secondary market, steel rebar was heard traded at 1,920-1,940 zloty per tonne delivered, up from 1,840-1,820 zloty per tonne last week, sources said.
Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for
steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, ex-works Poland was 1,840-1,950 zloty ($492-521) per tonne on Friday, narrowing from 1,840-1,970 zloty last week.
