Domestic rebar prices in Poland have gone up after the new year holidays with further sharp rises expected to follow next week, prompted by shortages and increases in raw materials costs, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday January 8.
Buying activity in Poland's rebar market was recovering slowly after the year-end break and was expected to fully resume next week, sources said."It's a bit messy, because we came back to the market only on [January 7]. Celsa Huta Ostrowiec was offering 2,700 zloty per tonne delivered [for rebar] on Thursday, but they withdrew that. CMC Zawiercie will offer on Monday," one trader said.
