POLAND REBAR: Prices jump on good demand, limited supply

Domestic steel rebar prices in Poland surged in the week to Friday December 4, supported by strong demand and long lead times, sources told Fastmarkets.

Polish rebar producers were seeking higher prices this week amid good buying activity and a shortage of material.
Local mills have already accounted for December production, according to sources.
"Prices are soaring in Poland - it's a rally. Most mills are sold out for December rolling," one trader said.
Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Poland, was 2,100-2,170 zloty ($569-588) per tonne on Friday up from 2,000-2,050 zloty per tonne a week earlier.
The assessment includes offers, deals and achievable prices heard in the market.
