POLAND REBAR: Prices sink deeper on slower buying

Domestic steel rebar prices in Poland declined again this week on slower market demand, sources told Fasmarkets on Friday May 15.

Buying activity in the Polish rebar market was reported to be slow this week, with trading companies shunning purchases due to payment issues, sources said.
"Insurance companies are reducing credit lines, which could cause additional big problems to everybody. May seems to be more difficult than March and April," one source said.
In the construction sector, one of the key rebar consumers, was reportedly still performing relatively well in the week to May 15, sources reported.
"Demand is not great, but also not tragic, it's rather so-so for now," another source said.
