Polish rebar inches down on slower trading

Prices for steel rebar in Poland inched lower during the week to Friday November 5 amid slower activity, with market participants expecting either a rollover or a slight increase in prices for November, Fastmarkets heard.

Trading activity in the Polish rebar market slowed this week because local stockholders and distributors had previously replenished their stocks and were not chasing for material.
"This week is a bit slower [because] distributors have got enough material," a trading source said.
Offers from local mills were ranged between 3,700 zloty ($931) and 3,780 zloty per tonne ex-works, but the upper end of offers was not consolidated in deals, Fastmarkets understands.
