Recent volatility 'a violent technical washout' in equity markets - APQ Global's Bart Turtelboom

Bart Turtelboom, chief executive of APQ Global (LON:APQ), gives his thoughts on the recent volatility in global markets.

''It was quite a violent move ... on the face of it, it really looks to have been a large technical correction particularly in equity markets''.

''Fundamentally, there was really no significant new news that would lead to that type of market correction''.

Turtelboom also welcomes South African's new President Cyril Ramaphosa: ''He's obviously an extremely qualified man, a very experienced businessman but also a very experienced politician in South Africa ... he really now has an incredible opportunity to get rid of the graft in the South African political system''.
