(IDEX Online) - The largest internally flawless pink diamond ever offered at auction yesterday (27 November) sold for HKD83.9m ($10.8m) at Christie's Hong Kong.Its pre-sale estimate was HKD70m ($9m) to HKD100m ($12.8m).The fancy intense Type IIa pink cushion brilliant-cut diamond of 15.48 carats was set in a gold ring with pear and round white diamonds.The Pink Supreme, which belonged to a private collector, was the highlight of the Magnificent Jewels sale, which realized a total of HKD491.4m ($63.1m).Among other highlights were a 3.51 carat VS2 fancy vivid blue pear modified brilliant-cut diamond of 3.51 carats in a gold ring with round white diamonds, which sold for just over HKD 5m ($644,000).And a ring set with over six carats of fancy vivid blue and pink diamonds, and fancy intense blue and purple-pink diamonds, that sold for HKD3.7m ($470,000).Pic courtesy Christie's
