Royal Asscher Names New Japan Chief

RAPAPORT... Royal Asscher has appointed Kenji Saikachi as CEO of RoyalAsscher Japan, where he will be responsible for leading the jeweler's growth inthe country. "We are confident that [Saikachi] will successfully leadRoyal Asscher to become an even more important player in the Japanese diamondjewelry market," Royal Asscher managing director and vice president MikeAsscher said last week. "With his wealth of experience in the luxurysector, we know that he can help retailers expand their business withour...brand." Saikachi was previously the general manager of K. Mikimoto'sflagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, and worked for the company for 27 years.
