RUSAL AT A GLANCE: Q2 drop in aluminium sales partly offset by higher prices, premiums amid US sanctions

Rusal's sales of primary aluminium and alumina fell by 19.2% and 11.4% respectively in the second quarter of 2018 from the previous quarter due to US sanctions against the Russian producer.

The decreases were partly offset by the sharp increase in the prices of aluminium and alumina over the period, but Rusal nevertheless posted a drop of nearly 18% in revenues over the quarter, while production was slightly higher. Financials ...
