RUSSIA FLAT STEEL: HR sheet price holds on diverging market view; CR sheets up on tight supply

The domestic hot-rolled sheet price in Russia's Central Federal District around Moscow was steady in the week to Monday October 5, while the cold-rolled sheet price inched up on tight availability, sources told Fastmarkets.

Russia's HR sheet producers remained bullish for October price hikes but buyers were cautious of further rises on slow downstream demand and sufficient stocks.
Offers from key domestic producers for October were heard at 43,000 roubles per tonne, up from 41,000 roubles per tonne in September, while buyers assessed the "workable level" around 42,000 roubles per tonne.
Ukrainian supplier was heard to be offering HR sheets for Russia's markets at 42,500 roubles per tonne cpt. Sources said, that in case of a deal price could be further reduced.
