Domestic hot-rolled sheet prices in Russia's Central Federal District around Moscow moved up in the week to Monday March 29, supported by improving buying activity and rising export prices, sources told Fastmarkets.

Buying activity in the region has continued to pick up over the past week amid a seasonal improvement in end-user demand, restocking, sources said.
Official domestic offers for HR sheet in April from local producers Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and Severstal were heard at around 70,000 roubles ($923) per tonne, sources said, unchanged from last week. However, this week, buyers had already indicated that this price level was "workable," sources said.
