RUSSIA FLAT STEEL: Prices down on seasonal demand slowdown

Steel hot-rolled sheet prices in Russia's Central Federal District around Moscow have declined over the week to Monday September 23 due to the seasonal slowdown, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel hot-rolled sheet, domestic, cpt Moscow, Russia was 43,000-44,000 roubles ($671-687) per tonne on September 23, including 20% VAT, narrowing downward from 43,000-44,9000 roubles per tonne a week before.Severstal, one of the key flat steel suppliers to the region, cut its HR sheet prices to stockists to 44,000 roubles per tonne cpt Moscow.
