Domestic flat steel suppliers to Russia's Central Federal District around Moscow were increasingly bullish in the week to Monday December 21 amid a rising export market and good buying activity, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for
steel hot-rolled sheet, domestic, cpt Moscow, Russia was 55,500-58,000 roubles ($755-789) per tonne including 20% value-added tax on Monday, up from 55,000-56,000 roubles per tonne a week earlier. The price is at a Fastmarkets record high and compares with 40,500-41,000 roubles per tonne on January 7,2020.
One stockist said his purchase price for December HR sheet was 55,500 roubles per tonne, up from 45,000 roubles per tonne paid for November tonnages.
