RUSSIA REBAR: Mills raise offers on expected seasonal market rebound

Rebar suppliers to Russia's Central federal district, the major steel-consuming region in the country, have increased their offer prices on expectations of a seasonal rebound in secondary market demand in March.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for domestic 12mm A500C rebar in Russia, including 20% VAT, was 36,000-38,500 roubles ($543-581) per tonne cpt Moscow on Monday February 18, up from 33,700-33,800 roubles per tonne last week.Severstal, one of two major rebar suppliers to the region, came to the market with offers of its March-rolled rebar at 36,000 roubles per tonne cpt Moscow, up from 35,700 roubles per tonne cpt for February-rolled material.But after...
