(Kitco News) - Santacruz Silver Mining(TSX.V:SCZ) announced today that the company produced 316,024 ounces of silverin Mexico in Q3 2021, an increase of 4% compared to Q3 2020 (304,123 ounces).
In addition, the companyproduced 1,012 tonnes of lead (Q3 2020: 1,080 tonnes), 3,767 tonnes of zinc (Q32020: 3,041 tonnes), 497 tonnes of copper (Q3 2020: 395 tonnes), and 8 ouncesof gold (Q3 2020: 59 ounces).
The company said that this positivechange in production was due to the increased silver equivalent production fromthe Zimapan mine.
CEO Carlos Silva stated, "Theproduction increase during Q3 arose mainly from the Carrizal and Monte mines asa result of development of new stopes at Lomo del Toro setting the stage for astrong year end."
"All underground equipmentfrom the Rosario project is now working at Lomo de Toro and it is expected thatwith this additional equipment production will further increase during Q4," headded.
Santacruz is a Mexicanfocused silver company with two producing silver projects (Zimapan and Rosario)and two exploration properties, the La Pechuga property and Santa Gorgoniaprospect.
