Sarine Partners with China Lab on Grading Reports

RAPAPORT... Sarine Technologies will introduce its Light Performance grading reports to mainland China through a co-branded partnership with the National Gemstone Testing Center (NGTC).The reports will establish a new industry standard in the China market, Sarine said Thursday. For the past two-and-a-half years, the NGTC has been carrying out extensive tests on diamonds of various cut qualities using Sarine's technology. The lab then worked on improving internal test processes and methods and collecting and analyzing data.Along with the usual 4Cs of grading - cut, carat, color and clarity - the combined reports will offer information on brilliance, fire, sparkle and light symmetry, Sarine explained."The alliance between [Sarine and the NGTC] will create a new experience for diamond retailers and consumers, more transparency, and facilitate a more robust consumer market, effectively contributing to the growth of China's jewelry industry," said Sarine CEO David Block.Image: The grading report and software.
