Seaborne iron ore concentrate prices strengthened in the week to January 4, while pellet prices weakened.

ConcentratesFastmarkets' MB 66% Fe Iron Ore Concentrate Index stood at $92.76 per tonne cfr China last Friday, up by $1.43 per tonne from December 28.The daily MB 65% Fe Iron Ore Index averaged $87.13 per tonne cfr China last week, higher than an average of $86.88 per tonne cfr China the previous week.The increase in the MB 66% Fe Concentrate Index (MBIOI-CO) was based on the visible market activity detailed below.
