Seaborne iron ore concentrate and pellet prices fell along with the wider market last week ahead of a week-long holiday in China from October 1.

ConcentrateFastmarkets' weekly index for iron ore 66% Fe concentrate, cfr Qingdao stood at $96.45 per tonne last Friday September 27, down $4.06 per tonne from a week earlier.Fastmarkets' daily index for iron ore 65% Fe Brazil-origin fines, cfr Qingdao averaged $98.26 per tonne last week, compared with an average of $102.22 per tonne a week earlier.The price movement of the concentrate index was based on the visible market activity detailed below, which was included in the index calculation according to published methodology.
