The TSX Venture Exchange slipped 8.17 points to 789.24 Tuesday. Sheldon Pollack and Adam Adamou's halted OV2 Investment 1 Inc. (OVO) says it is "evaluating available options" for completing its QT. Last November, it arranged to acquire The Ledger Group Inc. The Ledger called itself a blockchain investment company, but it had yet to make its first blockchain investment. It raised $2.6-million at an unknown price in December, and then in January, it said it would sell $15-million worth of subscription receipts at $1.50 in connection with the QT. Since then, The Ledger says it has made three investments, but all of them have been in esports. It acquired shares in esports gaming team Splyce Inc. and esports gaming companies Askott Entertainment Inc. and Enthusiast Gaming Inc. Esports are organized, multiplayer video-game tournaments between professional players for money. Tournaments are played in stadiums with games displayed on jumbotrons. Rogers Arena is hosting a $27-million tournament this August. Tickets range from $125 to $415. The International Olympic Committee has even said it is considering including esports in the Olympic Games in the future.
