The TSX Venture Exchange lost a fraction to 783.05 Thursday. Ravinder Mlait has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his first capital pool shell, Brockton Ventures Inc., with a $200,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Leede Jones Gable Inc. Brockton sold two million escrowed shares at five cents in January. Mr. Mlait acquired 950,000 escrowed shares. His fellow Brockton directors bought the rest. Bryan Loree acquired 950,000, and Jeffrey Messina acquired 100,000.
Mr. Mlait, 42, is a director of three Canadian Securities Exchange-listed companies: Torino Power Solutions Inc. (TPS: $0.10), Cannabix Technologies Inc. (BLO: $1.85) and Micron Waste Technologies Inc. (MWM: $0.425). Torino Power has a real-time power line monitoring system for electricity grids. Cannabix is working on a prototype for a marijuana breathalyzer that it would like to sell to law enforcement. Micron Waste has an organic waste digester that it says converts organic waste into clean water. It targets supermarkets, restaurants and marijuana growers. The company has just received $1.5-million from Aurora Cannabis Inc. in exchange for 6.46 per cent of Micron. Micron must install its system at an Aurora warehouse by June. Micron has been testing its waste digester at T&T Supermarkets since 2016.
