Singapore rebar import prices edge up on less Turkish supply

Prices for imported rebar in Singapore rose slightly in the week to Monday October 19 due to there being less Turkish material in the spot market, sources told Fastmarkets.

Offers for Turkish rebar remained at $465 per tonne cfr Singapore on a theoretical weight basis, although Turkish supply is not readily available for December-shipment materials.
This is because Turkey has sold large quantities to various destinations around the world in the past week, including Brazil, Peru, Hong Kong, Colombia and Panama.
