Import prices for rebar in Singapore were unchanged on limited spot trading in the past week.

The weekly Fastmarkets price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar) import, cfr Singapore - which mainly looks at cargoes sold into Singapore on a theoretical-weight basis - was $485-495 per tonne for the week to Monday July 29, unaltered from the previous week.High inventory levels, especially at a major local fabricator, limited demand and bids."There were some shipments of rebar that had been booked earlier in the year or late last year which arrived in ports recently, so the Singapore market is still consuming...
