Import prices for steel billet in Southeast Asia fell over the week ended Friday October 5 amid increased competition among sellers and sluggish demand from re-rollers.

Fastmarkets' daily assessment of import prices for billet in Southeast Asia was $520-525 per tonne cfr Manila on Friday, the same as the previous two days amid slow trading activity.The assessment range had fallen on October 3 from $520-530 per tonne cfr, where it had been since September 28.Few deals were heard concluded this week.Thailand-origin billet produced from induction...
