SOUTHERN EUROPE WIRE ROD: Prices flat in slow market

Domestic steel wire rod prices in Southern Europe were flat in slow post-holiday market, with most sources expecting prices to remain steady or tick up in coming weeks due to limited supply, Fastmarkets heard on Wednesday April 7.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel wire rod (mesh-quality) domestic, delivered Southern Europe was ?,?660-670 ($781-793) per tonne on Wednesday, unchanged from March 31.
The assessment reflected deals, offers and achievable prices reported by market participants over the past seven days.
