Suspect in Jewelry Knife Attack Shot by Police

(IDEX Online) - Police shot and injured a man suspected of stabbing a jewelry sales associate with a kitchen knife in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.They named him as Jose Reyes-Serrato, 27, and say the employee, who worked at Macy's department store, at the Mall of Georgia, as 55-year-old David Walker.Both men have been recovering in hospital after the incident and are expected to survive.Local police say the suspect began smashing jewelry cases and grabbing the contents. The victim was stabbed several times, suffering a collapsed lung and other injuries as he tried to intervene.The suspect then drove off in a grey truck but was rammed by police, who shot him as he tried to run away.Pic shows the Macy's store and (inset) the suspected perpetrator
