Tacora ships first iron ore concentrate cargo

Iron ore miner Tacora Resources (Tacora) shipped its first iron-ore concentrate cargo from its Scully Mine from the Port of Sept-Iles in Quebec, Canada, the company announced on Friday August 30.

The MV Rio Tamara was loaded with 69,770 tonnes of high-grade iron ore concentrate - branded "Tacora Premium Concentrate" - which has more than 65% iron content, the company said.The shipment will be delivered to one of the miner's customer based in Europe, the company added.The Scully Mine was previously operated as Wabush Mines over 1965-2014, located in Wabush, Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada.Tacora obtained full funding to restart production at the Scully Mine on November 27, 2018 and planned to increase production...
