The tantalum concentrate market rebounded on Friday November 27, after hitting its lowest level so far in 2020 last week, due to a return of some consumer activity in the spot market.

Fastmarkets assessed the price of tantalite, basis 25% min Ta2O5, cif China at $50-55 per lb on Friday, up from the previous week's assessment of $48-50 per lb. The market is now trading at its highest in two months.
"The market is heating up again," a supplier said. "The Chinese are back in the market looking to buy more material."
