U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning. S&P 500 futures were down 30 points in pre-opening trade.

Volume on U.S. equity, futures and options exchanges is expected to surge. Today is "quadruple witching day" when June equity and index options and futures expire.

Adobe added $10.54 to $561.90 after reporting higher than consensus second quarter revenues and earnings. Target on the stock was increased by Stifel Nicolaus, JP Morgan and Mizuho.

US Steel gained $0.16 to $23.98 after offering positive second quarter earnings guidance.

Fox Corp (FOX $35.44) is expected to open higher after announcing plans to increase its share buyback program by $2 billion.

Lennar advanced $2.13 to $96.78 after JP Morgan upgraded the stock from Neutral to Overweight.
