U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures added 27 points in pre-opening trade.

Traders are waiting for release of May U.S. New Home Sales at 10:00 AM EDT. Consensus is a slip to 587,000 units from 591,000 units in April.

FedEx advanced $5.77 to $233.90 after reporting higher than consensus fourth quarter revenues and earnings. The company also offered positive guidance for the current fiscal year. JP Morgan raised its target price on the stock from $279 to $284.

BlackBerry slipped US$0.12 to $5.25 after reporting a fiscal first quarter loss. Revenues also were lower than consensus.

Occidental Petroleum added $1.36 to $57.45 after Truist raised its target price from $88 to $93.

Another base metals breakdown! Teck Resources $TECK a TSX 60 stock moved below US$34.03 and US$32.94 and TECK.B.TO moved below Cdn$43.51 and Cdn$42.49 setting an intermediate downtrend.
