U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 18 points at 8:35 AM EDT.

S&P 500 futures slipped 4 points following release of economic news at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus for May Core PCE Price Index was a 0.1% gain versus a 0.1% gain in April. Actual was a 0.2% gain. On a year-over-year basis, consensus was a 2.6% gain. Actual was a 2.7% gain. Consensus for May Personal Income was a 0.3% increase versus a 0.8% in April. Actual was down 0.4%. Consensus for May Personal Spending was a 0.2% increase versus a 0.2% increase in April. Actual was a 0.1% drop.

The Canadian Dollar was unchanged at US 73.28 cents following release of Canada' s April GDP report. Consensus was unchanged versus a 0.1% increase in March. Actual was a 0.1% gain.

S&P 500 Index is scheduled to open at an all-time high. Previous all-time inter-day high was 6,147.43

Nike added $2.78 to $65.20 after offering positive fiscal first quarter guidance.

Boeing added $2.08 to $204.16 after Redburn upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy.

Trigger for the move was strength in copper prices above $5.04 per lb.
