Tech Talk for Friday March 29th 2019

U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 10 points in pre-opening trade. Index futures responded to U.S. government comments that trade negotiations with China are "going well". The Shanghai Composite Index jumped 3.2%.

Index futures were virtually unchanged following release of February Personal Income at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus for February Personal Income was an increase of 0.3% versus a decline of 0.1% in January. Actual was an increase of 0.2%.

The Canadian Dollar moved higher to 74.75 cents U.S. following release of Canada's January GDP report. Consensus was an increase of 0.1% versus a decline of 0.1% in December. Actual was an increase of 0.3%.

Wells Fargo added $1.09 to $50.18 after CEO Tim Sloan resigned.

BlackBerry gained $0.60 to $8.88 U.S. after reporting higher than consensus fiscal fourth quarter revenues and earnings.

Dow Dupont dropped $0.72 to $52.00 after lowering first quarter sales guidance.

Comcast slipped $0.29 to $40.13 after RBC Capital downgraded the stock to Sector Perform from Outperform.
